AMBULATORY DISCHARGE

The practitioner or anaesthetist authorises your discharge. He gives you :

  • Operation report.

And if necessary

  • Prescriptions.
  • Work certificate.
  • Certificate of exemption.
  • Transport voucher.
  • Post-operation instructions.

If your condition requires it, the practitioners may decide to admit you to hospital overnight for medical supervision.

RETURN HOME AND FIRST 24 HOURS

The person accompanying you must report to the Ambulatory Care Department at the scheduled discharge time.

THEREAFTER YOU MUST :

  • Arrange for someone to be present at home until the following day.
  • Stay at home.
  • Rest.

YOU MUST NOT :

  • Do any shopping or work on the day of your appointment.
  • Take public transport.
  • Drive a vehicle.
  • Take any medication other than that prescribed.
  • Drink alcohol or smoke.
  • Making important decisions.
  • Use potentially dangerous equipment.

THE DAY AFTER THE OPERATION

In the Ambulatory Surgery Unit, a nurse will contact you to monitor your care.

  • If you have any questions about your state of health after your outpatient stay, please do not hesitate to contact your practitioner or the clinic on 01 48 88 25 25.
